Method
How a number gets onto this page
Each quarter, gifts, philanthropy, grants and partnership funds recorded in the Sanctuary’s accounts are reconciled against bank records. Grants are recognised when received; acquittal reporting follows each grant’s terms and is published in summary.
Disbursements are recorded when the money reaches the community partner or project — not when it is approved, and not when it is merely committed. Committed-but-unpaid amounts appear in reserve, not in disbursed.
Our test before publishing anything: if a journalist or donor asked for the source of a figure today, could we send it within the hour? If not, we show the dash.

Published as they exist
We will not link to a document before it exists, and we will not describe one we have not adopted. This list is deliberately mostly unlinked today. Northern Rivers and Adelaide Hills work will be shown as separate place portfolios when pilots are live.
Annual impact report
Published each September, with the financial statements in full and a required section on what we got wrong — and what we learned about regenerative community, Landcare, Indigenous partnership and circular economy. First edition: 2027.
Gift acceptance & partnership policy
How community gifts, philanthropy and grants are accepted, allocated by pathway (community, spirit, land, culture) and acquitted — and how partnerships are agreed, at arm’s length where relevant. In drafting.
Cultural safety & consent policy
How imagery, names and knowledge references are handled, and the Council’s veto on cultural representation. Awaiting board adoption.
Conflict of interest register
Related-party and partnership transactions summarised annually with how decisions were managed. Opens with the first board meeting.
Board meeting summaries
A short public summary after each quarterly meeting, including decisions on priorities, funding and place. From the first meeting.
